May 18, 2000 <br />Page 3 <br />As no one was in attendance who wished to address the Board, the Public <br />Hearing was continued to the next regular meeting. <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Adoption Of Resolution 051800-A, A Resolution Requesting <br />Consolidation Of District Election With Statewide General Election <br />Ward explained that the proposed resolution requests consolidation of the <br />election and affirms the District's position with respect to candidate <br />statements. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Gibson, and carried 5-0 to adopt <br />Resolution Number 051800-A, a resolution requesting consolidation <br />of the District election with the statewide general election; that it be <br />read in title only and all other readings be waived. <br />B. Approval Of Memorandum Of Understanding With Foxmoor Property <br />Owners Association For Provision Of A Summer Recreation Program <br />Benton referenced the documentation, and stated that this is an annual <br />request for the provision of a morning summer recreation program; if <br />approved, this will be the program's 1? year; and the program will be <br />conducted at the homeowners association facility and a nearby elementary <br />school. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Benton said that the homeowners <br />association will receive 13 percent of registrant fees and maintenance costs <br />or $17 per participant. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to authorize <br />the General Manager to sign the submitted Memorandum of <br />Understanding with the Foxmoor Property Owners Association and <br />authorize staff to proceed with the implementation of the program on a <br />reimbursed cost basis. <br />
