April 6, 2000 <br />Page 3 <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Benton said that the stage would be <br />delivered, supervised, and returned by staff, and all out-of-pocket costs <br />would be included in the rental fee. <br />Debra Ryono, representing the Moorpark Centennial Committee, described <br />the centennial celebration. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Sorensen said that about $3,000 has <br />been spent during the past three years to address stage safety issues, <br />within three years it would be appropriate to -consider replacement of the <br />stage, and staff is comfortable with the fees. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 4-0 to approve <br />the use of the mobile stage by the City of Moorpark for Saturday, June <br />10, 2000; and authorize staff to issue a rental permit to Moorpark <br />Centennial Committee. <br />Ryono expressed her appreciation for use of the stage. <br />B. Authorization To Execute Agreement For The Provision Of A Summer <br />Recreation Program For The City Of Westlake Village <br />Benton stated that this is a program conducted annually for the City of <br />Westlake Village, this will be the program's 14th year, and she stated staff <br />recommendation. <br />In response to Lange's inquiries, Benton said that no complaints or <br />problems have been expressed regarding maintenance or dress code <br />issues, and the plan is to offer programs for two age groups. <br />Ward discussed liability issues and said that the agreement is consistent <br />with past agreements. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Jacobson, and carried 4-0 to <br />authorize the General Manager to execute the agreement between the <br />City of Westlake Village and the District for provision of an afternoon <br />summer recreation program, and authorize staff to proceed with the <br />implementation of the program on a reimbursed cost basis. <br />
