City Of Thousand Oaks Correspondence Regarding Councilmember <br />Parks Proposal For Alternative Flood Control Facilities In Lang Ranch <br />Area <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Ward said that Parks' proposal is currently <br />being studied by local, state and federal agencies, and District staff has not <br />yet taken a position on its feasibility and impact on District property, pending <br />the outcome of those analysis. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported it is anticipated that on June 8 Board approval will be <br />sought for three contract awards for construction of the Kimber Park site, <br />Conejo Creek dog park and Borchard Community Center parking lot and <br />skateboard facility, and staff expects to do the grading at the Kimber Park <br />site with in-house personnel. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Sorensen said that, currently, staff is <br />proceeding with Board and community approved plans for the Kimber Park <br />site, a verbal agreement has been reached with the City regarding street <br />improvement plans near Conejo Creek Northwest Quadrant, and a ground <br />breaking ceremony for Kimber Park will be scheduled. <br />
