Approval To Extend Conejo Valley Days Annual Agreement Through <br />2000 And To Approve Permit Conditions <br />Sorensen said that the permit and fee arrangements for Conejo Valley Days <br />are reviewed and approved by the. Board on an annual basis, he <br />summarized the permit fee arrangements with the Conejo Valley Activities <br />Corporation since 1994, and said that for year 2000 an annual fee of <br />$12,000, which represents the rehabilitation expenses, plus four percent of <br />the net proceeds, has been agreed to. He said that the site permit <br />conditions are substantially unchanged from 1999, and he explained that <br />staff and CVAC have agreed to negotiate an arrangement whereby a <br />certain portion of CVAC's net profits would be set aside for future capital <br />improvement to Conejo Creek South. He noted the presence of Jerry <br />Oberle, General Chairperson of CVAC. <br />In response to Holt's inquiry, Oberle said that there was never an <br />agreement to fund the fireworks display and other community activities, and <br />due to increased fees, CVAC has decided not to make a donation. <br />It was moved by Lange and seconded by Holt, to extend the Conejo <br />Valley Days Annual Agreement through 2000, and approve the year <br />2000 permit conditions. <br />Lange said that he appreciated the background information provided by <br />staff, and the current cooperation between CVAC and the District. <br />The motion carried 6-0. <br />A. Adoption Of Resolution Number 021000-A, A Resolution Supporting <br />Proposition 12, The Safe Neighborhood, Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air, <br />And Coastal Protection Act <br />Sorensen discussed the Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond Act, and identified <br />the categories of funding for park, recreation, and land protection projects. <br />He said that, should the ballot measure be successful, the total amount <br />available to the District would be approximately $1,440,600, additional <br />funds would be available under a variety of competitive grant programs, <br />
