Authorize General Manager To Execute A Contract With RRM Design Group In The Amount Of $315,634 For Preparation Of McCrea Lake And Picnic Area Construction Pluth reviewed the bid process, supplied background information and stated that the contract is for construction documents for the McCrea lake and picnic area and is heavily engineering weighted, the increase in cost of the documents is the result of a change in scope from only Phase 1 items to the entire lake and picnic area site, and phasing considerations will be addressed at construction time. In response to Board inquiries, Pluth said that the documents will be blue prints and specifications, $200,000 is allocated for the documents and remainder funds are available from the construction budget comprised largely of the SMMC grant, a comprehensive soil analysis is part of the project, RRM Design Group is the same team that prepared the McCrea Ranch Master Plan, the total cost of Phase 1 of the project is $1.2 million, no problems are anticipated with California Department of Fish and Game or soil conditions, the neighbors are aware of CRPD ownership of the property and plans for development, the design documents will include the infrastructure for providing a water supply for the entire property, a durable and healthy lake is the goal, the lake will support fishing, and no additional non -ranch type vegetation will be introduced except in the picnic area. Referencing a map, Pluth identified design components and site features, and said that the complex will include reserveable picnic structures, a lake, pier, lawn, vehicular access, parking, trails, and a seasonal pond. Jacobsen requested that the Board be kept informed of any changes to the Master Plan. It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carred 4-0 to authorize the General Manager to execute a contract with RRM Design Group in the amount of $315,634 for the preparation of the McCrea Ranch Lake and Picnic Area construction documents.
