(Neighborhoods For <br />Leaming) Programs <br />Beaton provided background information relevant to Proposition 10 funds, <br />and stated that Proposition 10 promotes school readiness for all children, in <br />August 2000 Supervisor Schillo requested the District as well as other <br />agencies attend a meeting for the development of a local Neighborhoods for <br />Learning (N.F.L.) steering committee, it has been proposed to utilize Crowley <br />House as a site, and it is anticipated that programs will begin in the summer <br />of 2002. She stated staff recommendation. <br />In response to Berger's and Lange's inquiries, Benton said that the grant is <br />for three years in the amount of $575,750 for each year, there will be no cost <br />for the use of Crowley House, and all supplies, equipment, programs, staff, <br />and utilities will be covered by the grant, and no major structural change of <br />Crowley House is necessary. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried 4-0 to authorize <br />the General Manager to approve the use of the Crowley House for local <br />Neighborhoods for Learning (N.F.L.) programs. <br />9.
