Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Meeting Notice And Agenda - <br />December 16, 2002 <br />Lange, Berger, and Ward discussed the Conservancy's land transactions <br />and legal proceedings. <br />D. Budget Performance Report — November 2002— No Comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that the grand opening celebrations of the Dos Vientos <br />Community Park is scheduled for January 24 and 25, and the parcels <br />adjacent to Conejo Creels Southwest Park were purchased for $165,000. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiries regarding Dos Vientos Community Center, <br />Sorensen said it has been agreed that part of the roof will be rebuilt, flashing <br />installed, and another flood test conducted, and it is expected that the work <br />will be completed before the grand opening in January. <br />Berger requested that he be provided with building and park dimensions of <br />the three community centers sites. <br />In response to Jacobson's inquiries, Sorensen said that recent storms <br />caused the loss of some trees and subsequent damage to private property, it <br />is expected that the transfer of Oakbrook Regional Park will be completed by <br />mid-January, and no last minute conditions or problems were identified that <br />could prove problematic to the District. <br />
