Recreation Division Report <br />Scott reported that on December 13 the Cultural Unit presented Eclectic <br />Edge Cafe in the Hillcrest Center Black Box Theater, it was attended by <br />approximately one hundred patrons, $400 was raised, and it has tentatively <br />been scheduled again for February 28; the Goebel Senior Adult Center will <br />host its annual New Year's Eve Celebration; on December 20, the Teen <br />Center will host a High School Concert; and on December 31, a New Year's <br />Eve Celebration for 7th and 8th graders. <br />Jacobsen highlighted the recent RSVP Recognition Luncheon at North <br />Ranch Country Club. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />No report. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Jorgensen said that, after due investigation, <br />it was determined to continue with the District's current banking institution. <br />Jacobsen expressed approval of the current brochure. <br />Relative to Jacobson's inquiry about online registration, Jorgensen said the <br />goal is a user friendly site, with that in mind, a PDF file which will mirror the <br />catalog will be added, however, financial records generated by the system <br />are difficult for staff to balance. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward referenced the recent Legislative Analyst Office Report regarding the <br />state budget and its potential impact on local government entities, and he <br />said preliminary discussions have been held regarding a proposed cyber <br />cafe at Hillcrest Center <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Gibson provided an update on the December 19 Ventura County Open <br />Space Advisory Committee meeting, during which the agenda for the next <br />three months was agreed upon: funding options will be discussed in January, <br />project selection criteria in February, governance in March, and <br />recommendations to the Board of Supervisors in April. <br />
