November 21, 2002 <br />Page 3 <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Berger, and carred 4-0 to adopt the <br />proposed Board of Directors' 2003 meeting schedule. <br />C. Adoption Of Resolution Number 112102-A, Authorizing The Nomination <br />Of A Board Member For Alternate Commissioner Of The Ventura Local <br />Agency Formation Commission <br />Ward reported that the LAFCO Executive Officer provided revised <br />information relative to the selection of the Independent Special District <br />Member; the upcoming election is for the alternate member seat; further, <br />Lange advised him that business commitments will preclude him from <br />accepting the Board's nomination of November 7; and the Board may <br />nominate another director or take no action. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Lange said that at least two special districts <br />are nominating competent individuals for the alternate seat. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that staff conducted a walkthrough of the Dos Vientos <br />Community Center; although many issues were resolved, a few remain, <br />mostly concerning the concession stand; investigation will be conducted to <br />ensure integrity of the roof; the turf looks good; and a mid-January opening is <br />anticipated. <br />
