Public Hearing — Fiscal Year 2002-2003 Budget Jacobsen declared the Public Hearing open. In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Jorgensen said that the Capital Improvement Projects and the Master Plan update will be presented the second meeting in June. As no one was in attendance who wished to address the Board, the Public Hearing was continued to the next regular meeting. 8. NEW ITEMS A. Adoption Of Resolution Number 052302-F, Amending Section 470 Of District's Ordinance Manual Disallowing Use Or Disposal Of Tobacco Products Within District Playgrounds Marchesano provided background information, referenced Assembly Bill 188, which prohibits smoking of tobacco -related products within playgrounds or tot lot sandbox areas, and stated that it is necessary to amend the District's Ordinance Manual. In response to Lange's inquiry, Marchesano said that it is not anticipated that new signage will be necessary, no formal public notification is planned, but a newspaper article would be appropriate. In response to Holt's inquiry, Marchesano said that the amendment to the Ordinance Manuel will indicate: "smoking of a cigarette, cigar, or other tobacco -related product within ora 'anent to playgrounds is prohibited." Ward said that pending legislation defines the prohibited area. In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Sorensen said that the Ordinance Manual has been a helpful tool to manage, but not eliminate, alcohol consumption in EI Parque de La Paz and Waverly Park.
