April 11., 2002 <br />Page 2 <br />Lange said that the Waverly site is a designated equestrian area but, community <br />needs must be considered, and the Thousand Oaks High School Cross Country <br />Team's use of the site must be approved annually. <br />Jacobsen expressed appreciation for both Kloster's and Smurthwaite's inputs, and <br />their work on the focus group and on behalf of the community. He said that there <br />will always be recognition of the needs of the equestrian community. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt and seconded by Berger to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />Jacobsen said that the Closed Session should be deferred due to Gibson's <br />absence, and therefore recommended that the agenda be modified. <br />Holt withdrew her motion. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Berger, and carried 4-0 to approve the <br />agenda as modified; i.e., to defer the Closed Session. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Minutes of March 28, 2002 Meeting <br />B. Warrants, Exhibits A - C, Total $323,140.24 <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carred 4-0, to approve <br />the Consent Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />None <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Authorization To Award Contract For Purchase And Installation Of <br />Phone System At 401 Hillcrest To Stamet Data Design At Cost Of <br />$35,428 <br />Jorgensen supplied background information, reviewed the research and bid <br />process, and referenced the initial requirements. He said that $40,000 was <br />budgeted for the new system; Accounting Supervisor Robertson, Sr. Park <br />
