He invited questions. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Jorgensen discussed the system, and said <br />that an attendant console is part of the system, the system provides the <br />ability to add cordless phones or other analog instruments, the four-hour <br />replacement of failed components option is for the first year only, the system <br />features advanced Ethernet technology and will position the District for future <br />communication advances, outstanding references were received, and an <br />excellent training package is part of the proposal. <br />Jacobsen requested that the Board be kept informed. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 4-0 to award the <br />contract for the purchase and installation of a 3 -Comm NBX phone <br />system at Hillcrest Center, 401 W. Hilicrest Drive, to Stamet Data <br />Design, Inc. for a cost of $35,428; funding of $40,000 included in <br />account 13.804.852 81305.002 — Move Administrative Offices. <br />B. Consideration Of Appointments To The Goebel Senior Center <br />Commission <br />Ward synopsized the appointments process, and the March 27 election. <br />In response to Holt's inquiry, Ward said that there are no term limits in the <br />Commission bylaws. <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Lange, and carried 4-0 to approve <br />the appointment of Marie Boscia, Russel Glovenco, William Hogg, Anne <br />Manninger, and Sue Osssenkop to three-year terms, effective July 1, <br />2002. <br />C. Adoption of Resolution Number 041102-A, A Resolution Authorizing <br />District To Apply For Prop 12 Grant Funding <br />Sorensen stated that the California Department of Forestry and Fire <br />Protection grant is reimbursable, the District's match of 25 percent does not <br />have to be monetary, and other sites are also being considered for possible <br />grant funding opportunities, including Northwood Park. <br />
