Consideration Of Alternatives For Usage Of Conejo Creek Northwest By <br />Thousand Oaks High School Cross Country Team <br />Scott provided relevant background information, and stated that: staff met <br />several times with representatives of ETI (Equestrian Trails Incorporated) <br />and the Thousand Oaks Cross Country Team concerning the use of Waverly <br />Park by the Cross Country Team; on the basis that an expansion of the fund <br />raising event was being contemplated, staff position taken in August was to <br />allow the team to use the Waverly site once or twice a year for meets, and to <br />use an alternate site for other events; and a consensus could not be reached. <br />She noted the three alternatives. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Scott discussed the Thursday Thrills event, <br />identified Conejo Creek North, Thousand Oaks Park, and Oakbrook Regional <br />Park as alternate sites, and identified the three alternatives: <br />Staff proposal: Thousand Oaks Cross Country Team to hold annual <br />meets at Waverly Park, subject to conditions, and all other events at an <br />alternative site. <br />2. Thousand Oaks Cross Country Team position: Thousand Oaks Cross <br />Country Team to hold annual meets, practices, and Thursday Summer <br />Thrills at Waverly Park, as done in the past, subject to conditions. <br />3. ETI position: No events to be held at Waverly Park by the Thousand <br />Oaks Cross Country Team. <br />Jacobsen invited public comment. <br />Barbara Hannon spoke in support of the Thousand Oaks Cross Country Team's <br />use of Waverly Park. <br />
