Approval To Modify Assessment District 2001-2002 CIP Budget To <br />Reallocate $50,000 To Lynn Oaks Park For Playground Renovation <br />Sorensen stated that $50,000 was allocated in the 2001-2002 budget <br />primarily for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) improvements at Triunfo <br />Community Park, the results of a state -mandated inspection of District <br />playgrounds indicated the necessity for an extensive replacement project at <br />Lynn Oaks Neighborhood Park, staff is requesting authorization to reallocate <br />the $50,000 for Triunfo Community Park to Lynn Oaks Neighborhood Park to <br />complete the first phase of work, the Triunfo Park project will be re -budgeted <br />in the 2002-2003 CIP budget, and no additional funds are required. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Sorensen said that the proposed reallocation <br />funds are district -wide assessment funds, and this proposal is simply a <br />reprioritization of projects. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Sorensen said that all parks have been <br />inspected, and only Lynn Oaks Park was identified as needing <br />reprioritization. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Sorensen said that, thus far, District <br />inspection employees have not been contracted out to other agencies. <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to modify <br />the Assessment District 2001-2002 CIP budget to reallocate $50,000 to <br />Lynn Oaks Park for the purpose of playground renovation. <br />9.
