Goebel Senior Center Commission Minutes — December 12, 2001 <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Ward explained that a special Goebel Senior <br />Center Commission committee is delegated to research interest rates for <br />Commission investments. <br />E. Report Of Investments - December 2001-- No Comment <br />F. Ventura Local Agency Formation Commission Correspondence <br />Regarding Municipal Service Reviews/Sphere Of Influence Updates <br />Lange noted the upcoming February 20 meeting, and urged District <br />representation. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that all preliminary paperwork has been completed by the <br />Community Garden group, they are now ready to proceed, and an MOU will <br />shortly be presented to the Board for consideration. <br />Continuing, he said it is possible that the County will begin work on the Lang <br />Creek storm water facility as soon as February 8. <br />Concluding, Sorensen said that the District was represented at the February <br />4 Western Plateau Preservation Plan meeting at Borchard Center, and <br />attendees were very pleased with the designs for proposed parks and <br />facilities for the Dos Vientos area. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Sorensen explained that, as a result of <br />complaints involving four-wheel drive vehicles on the soccer fields at Old <br />Meadows Community Park, staff is erecting a fence barrier on the north side <br />of the parking lot, and the project will be financed with operations funds. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Sorensen said that, although behind <br />schedule, the Dos Vientos project is moving ahead, and the dedication is <br />anticipated for July. <br />
