Election Of Board Officers And Confirmation Of Appointments And Assignments Ward stated that traditionally in January the Board elects officers and considers appointments and assignments for the year. He referenced the documentation. Lange nominated Jacobsen to assume the duties of Chair for calendar year 2002. The nomination was seconded by Holt. The election of Jacobsen as Chair was declared unanimous. Gibson congratulated Jacobsen. Berger nominated Lange for Vice Char. The nomination was seconded by Holt. The election of Lange as Vice Chair was declared unanimous. Jacobsen thanked Gibson for his service as chair, commended him for his leadership, presented a ceremonial gavel, and assumed the position of Chair. Board members commended and thanked Gibson for his service. Gibson thanked all for their support. Jacobsen referenced current committee assignments, determined openings to be filled, and asked for preferences. Gibson said that his schedule did not permit attendance at the Ventura County Special Districts Association meetings, and asked to be relieved of his assignment as alternate. Jacobsen asked to be considered for the assignment. Lange asked if staff would determine if the 401 Hillcrest renovation qualifies for Percent for the Arts funding. Gibson noted that the Ventura County Board of Supervisors is in the process of creating the Ventura County Regional Open Space District, suggested that a representative be appointed to the advisory committee, and volunteered to represent the District. it was moved by Gibson, seconded by Berger, and carried +5-0 to reappoint Lange for another two-year term as representative to the Teen Center and Services Authority; appoint Jacobsen as Ventura County Special Districts Association (VCSDA) alternate representative,
