November 6, 2003 <br />Page 5 <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Marchesano reported that the Dos Vientos <br />irrigation issues, previously identified, were audited by staff and adjustments <br />made. <br />In response to Holt's concern, staff indicated that the recent article in the Acorn <br />regarding concerns by Lang Ranch residents was largely inaccurate, and staff is <br />working with City staff to ensure the park project moves forward. <br />In response to Jacobson's inquiries, Pluth said that the completion date of the <br />Lang Ranch Dam project is expected to be January or February 2004, and the <br />anticipated footprint of the dam has been incorporated into the park plans. <br />Marchesano said that the proposed changes in the equestrian area are of a <br />minor nature and consistent with the Conejo Creek Master Plan. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Scott reported that the Young Artists Ensemble will present "Beauty and the <br />Beast", their first show at Hillcrest Center Theatre on November 7; the current <br />Gallery art exhibit entitled "Mountains to the Sea" runs through December 23 <br />with an artist's reception on November 9; flu and pneumonia immunizations, <br />free to Medicare recipients, will be available November 13 at Goebel Senior <br />Adult Center; the Holiday House Crafts Festival and the Kid's Swap Meet will <br />both be held at the Thousand Oaks Community Center on November 8 and 15 <br />respectively; the 10th annual Arts and Crafts Showcase presented by the <br />Therapeutic Unit will be held at Thousand Oaks Community Center on <br />November 9; the Harvest Dance for 7th and 8th graders and the Middle School <br />Spirit Night will be held at the Teen Center on November 15 and 20 <br />respectively; and the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation <br />Basketball Officials Course continues at Hillcrest Center through November 19. <br />Scott summarized the results of the Special Olympic Fall Classic held on <br />November 1 and 2, and noted that numerous gold, silver and bronze metals <br />were awarded to the Conejo Valley athletes. <br />C.
