DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Pluth reported that work at Conejo Creek South has resulted in the temporary <br />closure of the area to public access, work is now underway to provide an <br />alternate route for both trail and perimeter loop users. He said that both <br />Thousand Oaks Center and the equestrian center at Conejo Creek West were <br />activated as evacuation centers during the recent fires; in cooperation with the <br />City of Thousand Oaks and the Conejo Valley Unified School District, CRPD is <br />sponsoring (SEMS) Standard Emergency Management System Training on <br />November 12; and a hot line is being activated November 7 for status reports <br />and information relative to the dog park. <br />
