Authorization To Add $97,011.17 To Existing Account 13-806-851- 82003-001To Reimburse Operating Engineers, And Fund Remaining Change Orders At Dos Vientos Community Park From 94-1 LMD Sorensen said that the plans for the park were prepared in 1997 consistent with the standards and conditions identified in the 1990 Park Dedication and Improvement Agreement; over the course of time, standards changed and the District requested improvements that were beyond the 1990 agreement. Referencing the Dos Vientos Community Park Change Order Summary, he noted that the kitchen and maintenance building improvements constituted the largest improvement expenditures. In response to Berger's inquiries, Sorensen said that the size of the community center is over 12,000 square feet, the facility is valued at approximately $6 million, and change orders total about $525,000, of which the District is responsible for approximately $147,000. In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Sorensen said that the punch list has been completed and warranties assigned; and during the recent rains there was some roof leakage, contractors were summoned, and the issues are being resolved. He said that some wall partitions and shelves still need to be installed but the building will be ready for programming in March. In response to Jacobsen's request, Sorensen said that the Board will be kept informed if neighbors express concerns relative to lighting. He added that some members of the Planning Commission will soon be inspecting the lighting at Dos Vientos, which is the same as that proposed for Conejo Creek South. It was moved by Berger, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to add $97,011.17 to existing account 13-806-851-82003-001 to reimburse Operating Engineers, and fund the remaining change orders at Dos Vientos Community Park; funding to come from 94-1 LIVID. 9.
