Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that planning for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the <br />Chumash Interpretive Center is expected to begin shortly, the work of the <br />Lang Ranch focus group is proceeding, and title to the Dos Vientos Park <br />property is expected to be transferred to the District on February 21. <br />He said that staff has contacted representatives of ETI and those who have <br />expressed concern regarding the use of Conejo Creek Park by the <br />California Desperados Mounted Shooters, a meeting is planned, and <br />everyone will be kept informed. <br />Jacobsen requested a list of those on the Lang Ranch focus group. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Sorensen said that the Planning <br />Commission meeting for Conejo Creek is scheduled for February 24. <br />Lange said that he spoke with Deana Dartt, Museum Director/Park <br />Administrator of the Chumash Interpretive Center, she is very pleased with <br />the District's responsiveness, and would like to address the Board. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Scott announced that Patty Hamm is the new Recreation Supervisor at <br />Borchard Community Center, Dennis Gass has moved to Thousand Oaks <br />Center, Lori Olbrich to Conejo Center and Scott Engel to Dos Vientos <br />Center. <br />She said that the annual Spring Arts and Crafts Festival is scheduled for <br />March 8 and 9 at Borchard Community Center; High School Spirit Night is <br />being held tonight at the Teen Center; 30 teens participated in the February <br />14 Mountain High snowboard trip; the Arts Council of Conejo Valley will <br />sponsor "Hang with the Best," an art show featuring artwork of middle and <br />high school students at Hillcrest Center beginning March 2; the volleyball <br />league games begin February 23, with 38 teams participating; softball <br />leagues begin March 7, with 129 teams participating; and the 12'h Annual <br />Thousand Oaks Youth Commission Dance for those with disabilities will be <br />held March 8 at the Teen Center. <br />
