Adoption Of Resolution Number 100704-A In Support Of Proposition <br />1A "Protection Of Local Government Revenues" <br />Friedl stated that Proposition 1A limits the ability of state government to <br />take certain local government revenues; of particular relevance to the <br />District is protection of local property tax revenues; Proposition 1A was <br />negotiated between the Governor and organizations representing local <br />governments; the Proposition was ultimately placed on the ballot by the <br />Legislature in response to "Leave Our Community Assets Local" (LOCAL) <br />Initiative that qualified for the November ballot as Proposition 65; if <br />
