July 22, 2004 <br />Page 2 <br />Nancy Jo Thompson, Thousand Oaks, spoke in opposition to adding lights to the <br />dog park. <br />Friedl said that, beginning July 26, four shade structures will be constructed at the <br />dog park, staff could find no written commitments or promises relative to dog park <br />lighting, and staff is currently awaiting a response from the City of Thousand Oaks <br />Planning Department regarding a hearing on the lighting project. <br />Holt said that staff would be pleased to meet with anyone during working hours to <br />discuss the issue further. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. July And August Meeting Schedule <br />Friedl said that staff recommendation is to hold the scheduled August 5 <br />meeting. Gibson suggested that at that time it can be determined whether <br />an additional meeting in August is necessary. <br />
