Park Division Report <br />Friedl noted the Calleguas Creek Watershed Management Plan map and <br />brochure. <br />He reported that at Conejo Creek Norm a small fire just occurred behind <br />Willow Bend, no structural damage has been reported, arson may be <br />involved, and the glulam project is ahead of schedule. He displayed <br />pictures of the play area. He said that staff is working on logistics and <br />parking issues involving Conejo Valley Days, the Persian Festival, and an <br />AYSO fund raiser. <br />Concluding, he announced that Administrative Secretary Dvorkin is leaving <br />the District, and will be succeeded by Aline Reynders on January 26. <br />Gibson said that he has talked to a number of homeowners in the Signature <br />Collection homes, who were unaware of Mr. Ed Charton's letter regarding <br />the proposed Lang Ranch Community Park. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiries, Friedi said that, although he contacted a <br />staff person at Signature Homeowners Association, he has not been able to <br />get clarification on the letter, and, relative to the operation of the Chumash <br />Interpretive Center, he has met with representatives, and staff efforts <br />continue toward identification of the strongest candidate for the task. <br />Marchesano said that programming will not be effected by lighting upgrades <br />at Borchard Park and Pepper Tree Play Field. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton announced that Administrative Clerk Linda Hessman has been <br />promoted to the position of Administrative Secretary for Recreation, and <br />she highlighted Hessman's CRPD work experience. <br />Continuing, Benton said that at the Teen Center a snowboard trip for forty <br />7t" through 12th graders is scheduled for January 26; and at Hillcrest Center <br />for the Arts, the Cultural Unit will present two versions of the musical "Snow <br />White and the Seven Dwarfs", one by the Young Artists Ensemble, and the <br />other by the Young Artists Ensemble in conjunction with Conejo Theatre for <br />Everyone. <br />
