General Manager's Report <br />Ward reported that a letter has been drafted to Ed Charton relative to the <br />proposed Lang Ranch Community Park; CARPD Board of Directors has a <br />vacancy, a candidate would need Board endorsement, and the item will be <br />agendized. Gibson and Jacobsen expressed interest. Continuing, Ward <br />presented a brief overview of the Governor's budget, and noted that an <br />additional ERAF (Education Revenue Augmentation Funds) shift of $1.3 <br />billion is anticipated. <br />Gibson raised the subject of eliminating meetings, if there are no time <br />sensitive issues. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange and Jacobsen both said that they attended the Chinese Brush Art <br />program at the Hillcrest Center; it was a very positive event, and presented <br />an opportunity to expose attendees to the Hillcrest Center. <br />Holt said that she, along with other CRPD Board members and staff, <br />attended the Media Day Event, and it was very interesting, especially the <br />Janss House tour. <br />Gibson referenced the CSDA (California Special Districts Association) <br />newsletter, and noted a February 10 workshop in Ontario on the Brown Act <br />and effective team leadership. <br />In response to Jacobsen's request, Gibson gave an overview of activities <br />relevant to the proposed open space district, and indicated extensive <br />activities, both locally and in Sacramento, are taking place. <br />12. REQUEST FOR STATUS REPORTS AND ITEMS FOR SUBSEQUENT <br />AGENDAS <br />Gibson asked that consideration be given to forecasting agenda items and <br />consolidating where appropriate.
