Approval To Install Gates And Provide Controlled Access Between
424 And 430 Glenwood Place And Estella Park
Marchesano provided background information and introduced Sergeant
Adford. He noted that residents of Glenwood Place have requested closure
of the access path from Glenwood Place to Estella Neighborhood Park;
nuisance activity and increased graffiti were cited; in response to
notification, on November 12 all residents of Glenwood Place were mailed a
notice of possible closure and a response request; and from the
approximate 43 recipient households, 12 responses were received, and all
responses supported access closure. He said that three options were
identified; do nothing, install lockable gates and provide for some type of
controlled access, and close access entirely for a six-month trial period.
Staff recommendation is option two; install gates and provide controlled
access between 424 and 430 Glenwood Place and Estella Park.
