June 16, 2005 <br />Page 2 <br />Employee Recognition Awards <br />Senior staff members commended District employees, and Board members <br />thanked and congratulated the honorees. An overview of each employee's <br />professional and academic achievements was presented. On behalf of the Board <br />and staff, Ward presented awards to the honorees. <br />Dennis Gass received an award for 30 years of service, Ruben Rojo for 25 <br />years, Lori Olbrich for 20 years, Shirley Ohren for 15 years; Liz Benton and <br />Melissa Nesbitt for five years. <br />Honorees thanked staff, management and Board of Directors for their support, <br />and spoke of their pride in the organization. <br />The meeting recessed at 8:20 p.m. and reconvened at 8:35 p.m. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval Of Minutes Of June 2, 2005 Meeting <br />B. Approval Of Warrants, Exhibit A <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $490,861.95 <br />Payroll Total $238,766.24 <br />It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0, to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />A. Public Hearing — Fiscal Year 2005-2006 Budget <br />1. Discussion - Proposed Budget for 2005-2006 <br />Berger opened the Public Hearing. <br />
