Approval Of Draft Project Description To Be Used As The Project
Description For Lang Ranch Community Park Draft Environmental
Impact Report
Friedl stated that this is an information report, he emphasized that no action on
the project would be taken tonight, and noted the presence of Eric Wilson,
EDAW, Inc. consultant, and referred to the aerial photo of existing community
parks and their service areas and the location of the proposed Lang Ranch
Community Park.
Pluth provided background information, and noted the summary of public
comments received. Referencing a map, Pluth identified and discussed
project characteristics including lower, middle and upper terraces, proposed
parking sites, community center, playgrounds, picnic areas, areas for
nonprogrammed activities, access points and trail system. He said that
CRPD has provided opportunities for public comment, including a public
scoping meeting on September 28, 2004, to help determine concerns, and
facilitate recommendations of issues to be studied within an Environmental
Impact Report (EIR); If approved, the Draft Project Description will be used as
the Project Description for the Draft Environmental Impact Report. He
answered questions.
Jacobsen spoke of the desire to protect adjacent homeowners and mitigate
the impact of site activities.
