November 1, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />Oakbrook Regional Park Chumash Interpretative Center Special Presentation <br />— Gary McMillan <br />McMillan, Acting Board Chairman of the Chumash Interpretative Center (OPCIC), <br />stated his appreciation for the opportunity to address the CRPD Board, and <br />distributed and highlighted the 2007 annual report. He thanked the District for its <br />assistance and support, and identified several recent projects District staff was <br />responsible for, including new picnic tables, new windows, raptor center clearance, <br />roof repairs, new drainage pipes, and storage of the District's mounted animal <br />collection on site. He introduced Dawn Mena, new Education Director, who <br />discussed new events, programs, summer camp, the website and email system. <br />She identified the new curators, Graywolf and Alfred Panther. <br />Board members thanked and commended McMillan and Mena for their <br />presentation and efforts. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of October 18, 2007 Meetings <br />B. Approval of Warrants, Exhibit A <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $685,085.56 <br />Payroll Total $286,689.91 <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />Consent Calendar. <br />7.
