CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 12007 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and Administrator Benton <br />led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Benton, Hare and Lewanda, <br />Information Technology Specialist Segedie, Recreation Supervisor Koval and <br />Executive Assistant Ohren <br />3. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />4. SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />Goebel Senior Adult Center Outreach Presentation — Recreation Supervisor <br />Koval, Commissioner Gene Borghi <br />Benton introduced Koval and Borghi. Borghi spoke of his introduction to, and <br />involvement at, Goebel Senior Adult Center, describing it as a vibrant place. He <br />thanked staff, the Council on Aging and other sponsoring agencies for their <br />support, and said it is an excellent alliance. Koval stated her appreciation for the <br />opportunity to address the CRPD Board, and presented a PowerPoint presentation <br />on the Outreach Program. She highlighted the program and stated that the <br />Center is the community place for all adult and senior recreation and information <br />needs. She identified and discussed activities such as senior softball and Old <br />Kranks Bicycle Club, and programs, special events, seminars, senior services and <br />classes such as yoga, dance, golf, and the Marque Cafe. <br />Board members thanked and commended Koval and Borghi for their presentation <br />and efforts. <br />
