Adoption of Resolution Number 041907-A, Approval of Preliminary Budget 2007-08 Lewanda stated that this is an annual occurrence, the preliminary budget submitted for Board consideration is the 2006-2007 adopted budget, and the preliminary budget acts as a stimulus to begin the public hearing process. Jacobsen requested that a budget calendar be provided. It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to adopt Resolution No. 041907-A, adopting the fiscal year 2007-2008 preliminary budget and authorizing the General Manager to publish the Notice of Adoption; that it be read in title only and all other readings be waived. B. Adoption of Resolution Number 041907-B Directing Preparation of Engineer's Report, Declaring Intention to Levy Assessments for 2007- 08, Preliminarily Approving Engineer's Report for Districtwide Park Maintenance and Recreation Improvement District (62-1) and Providing for a Notice of Public Hearing Hare referenced documentation, and stated that: the Districtwide Park Maintenance and Recreation and Improvement District (62-1) was initially approved in 2001; every year, thereafter, the Board is asked to consider and preliminarily approve the Engineer's Report and declare the District's intention to levy the annual assessments; the resolution provides for a required public hearing on May 10, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.; the maximum authorized assessment rate for fiscal year 2007-08 is $29.46 per single family equivalent benefit unit; and the proposed fiscal year 2007-08 assessment rate per single family equivalent benefit Unit is $29.46. He said staff recommendation is adoption of the resolution.
