February 1, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Suzanne Duckett urged continued support of the Goebel Center, expressed <br />appreciation for resolution of the Two Winds issue, and urged support of the <br />equestrian community. <br />Continuing, she advocated support for a community swim pool, the California <br />Lutheran University (CLU) aquatic facility, and the construction of a community <br />aquatic center on the Shapell property. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0, to approve <br />the agenda as modified; i.e., Item 8.C. to precede Item 8.A. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of January 18, 2007 Meeting <br />B. Approval of Warrants, Exhibit A <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $220,671.98 <br />Payroll Total $259,883.42 <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0, to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />None <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />C. Approval of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between Conejo <br />Recreation and Park District and California Lutheran University for <br />Planning, Funding, Construction, Operation, Maintenance and Use of <br />Community Pool at the Samuelson Aquatics Center at CLU <br />Friedl provided relevant background information and identified and <br />discussed the most significant aspects of the MOU. Specifically, he noted <br />that the District's Master Plan has long identified the need for a major swim <br />
