All design specifications are met and the proposal <br />includes the required 6% discount, and the total is $76,140.94. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Hare explained the financial aspects of the <br />proposal. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to <br />authorize General Manager to enter into a contract with RecWest <br />Outdoor Products, Inc., authorized representative for Landscape <br />Structures, Inc., play equipment, in the amount of $76,140.94 for <br />purchase of Pepper Tree Playfiield and EI Parque de la Paz play <br />equipment. Funds available from accounts 13 805 819 81705 008 10-5 <br />and 13 801 811 80304 002 10-1. <br />E. Appointments to the Goebel Senior Center Commission <br />Lindsey synopsized the appointment process, referenced the <br />documentation, and said that staff proposal is to approve Commission <br />recommendations. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Berger, and carried 5.0 to <br />approve the appointments of Laurel Engel and James Howes, and the <br />reappointment of Gene Borghi, Loretta Coffman and Russ Glovenco. <br />Lange noted the quality of Commission applicants. <br />Jacobsen suggested that those who have shown an interest in Commission <br />membership be urged to volunteer on Commission committees and <br />activities. <br />F. Approval of Caporicci & Larson for External Audit Services <br />Lewanda reviewed the bid process. She said that on March 10, 2008 a <br />Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued for audit services beginning with <br />the audit of Fiscal Year 2007-08 and ending with audit of Fiscal Year 2009- <br />2010, with two one-year optional extensions. The RFP was mailed to 26 <br />auditing firms, and seven firms responded. Each firm's proposal was <br />evaluated by a committee consisting of Management Services <br />Administrator, CRPD Accounting Supervisor Jan Robertson and MRCA <br />Assistant Finance Office Jeff Jones. Caporicci & Larson was selected, and <br />the not -to -exceed price for the three year base contract is $41,250. <br />
