Conejo Creek Ballpark
Hare provided background information, and stated that on March 20, 2008,
the Board continued this item due to the unavailability of representatives
from ABDG, a non-profit organization. He introduced Randy Riley of
ABDG who provided a video presentation, which highlighted the
organization's goals, leagues, area serviced, fund raising efforts, the
involvement of Mike Scioscia, and the cooperative efforts of various groups
including ABDG and the District. Riley said ABDG has been providing
funding for capital improvements at Conejo Creek Ballpark since 2004. In
November 2007 ABDG requested, and the District approved, a similar
request to waive fees, and over the last four years ABDG has utilized
income generated for and from Conejo Creek Ballpark to provide for capital
improvements including construction and installation of a scoreboard,
bleachers, score booth and snack bar. Envisioned future improvements
