Simi Valley Chivas Soccer Club Request to Waive out -of -District Fees <br />Friedl referenced the email from Brian Moran of Chivas Soccer Club <br />announcing that he would be unavailable to attend the Board meeting. <br />Gibson suggested that the item be postponed. <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Gibson, and carried 5-0 to <br />postpone decision making regarding the Simi Valley Chivas Soccer <br />Club's request to waive out -of --District fees. <br />B. Contract for Fencing Supply Services at Various District Facilities <br />Hare provided background information, relative to the bid process. He said <br />that on January 18, 2007 the Board authorized solicitation of RFPs for <br />fencing supply services at various District facilities, and staff recommends <br />Fence Factory for the award of contract, which has for an initial term of April <br />24, 2008 to June 30, 2013, with two optional one year extensions. Staff will <br />utilize the contract to provide all types of District fencing supply services, <br />including purchase, installation and rental. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to <br />authorize the General Manager to award the contract to Fence Factory <br />for fencing supply services at various District facilities. <br />C. Award Bid for Conejo Creek Southeast, Phase 2 and Northwood <br />Neighborhood Park, Phase 1 Construction <br />Hare reviewed the bid process. He said that 15 potential bidders attended <br />pre-bid meetings; seven bids were submitted; Damar Construction <br />submitted the low bid of $3,567,243, which meets all the required <br />specifications; and staff is satisfied that Damar is capable of performing the <br />work. Hare referenced the project's financial status and said that <br />accumulated CVD funds, accumulated antenna site funds and park <br />development funds will finance the project. <br />
