Approve Ground Lease and Joint Use Agreement and Construction <br />Management Agreement for Community Pool at California Lutheran <br />University <br />Lange acknowledged the presence of Councilmember Dennis Gillette. <br />Friedl referenced the documentation and provided a summary of relevant <br />history, noting the agreement represents years of cooperative discussions <br />between California Lutheran University (CLU), the City of Thousand Oaks <br />and the District. He said that the timetable anticipates a one-year <br />construction schedule, and the District will fund all project costs in <br />consideration for District use of the community pool for 30 years, which is <br />consistent with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Parking issues, <br />staffing, programming, insurance, and termination rights were discussed. <br />Lange said it represents a great team effort. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0 to <br />authorize the General Manager to execute Lease & Joint Use <br />Agreement and Construction Management Agreement for Community <br />Pool at California Lutheran University; District funds of $1.9 million <br />and City grant funds of $1.5 billon are budgeted in capital account <br />number 13 803 853 80802 001. <br />
