CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Lange called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and Scott Engel led the flag <br />salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Benton, Hare, and <br />Lewanda, Recreation Manager Lindsey, Recreation Supervisor Engel, and <br />Executive Assistant Ohren <br />3. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />4. SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />City of Westlake Village Programs — Recreation Supervisor Engel <br />Recreation Supervisor Engel provided an overview of the programs provided by <br />District staff for the City of Westlake Village. The presentation included history, <br />budget, strategic plan objectives achieved, and scope of programs, including <br />senior recreation, after school enrichment, and summer programs. <br />Board members thanked staff for the impressive presentation and efforts. Lange <br />urged dissemination of the presentation. <br />In response to Board interest, Benton said that a future presentation to the Board <br />will feature examples of mobile District programming. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0 to approve <br />the agenda as presented. <br />
