NEW ITEMS <br />A. Renew Concession Agreement with Oakbrook Chumash Indian Corporation <br />Friedl reviewed relevant history. He said that a new board at the OCIC has recently <br />been established, and the District plans to continue its relationship with the OCIC. <br />Staff recommends a one-year renewal of the agreement and all other terms and <br />conditions of the agreement will remain unchanged. Matt Kouba is currently working <br />with center representatives, and staff will continue its active involvement. <br />Gibson requested that the commencement date of the agreement be modified to <br />reflect November 4. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Gibson, and carried 4-0 to renew the <br />concession agreement with Oakbrook Chumash Indian Corporation (OCIC) for <br />one year- agreement to commence November 4. <br />B. Public Utility Easement with City of Thousand Oaks on Erbes Road at Frontage <br />of Estella Park <br />Hare explained that in order for the City of Thousand Oaks to make necessary street, <br />curb, gutter and sidewalk improvements on Erbes Road between Thousand Oaks <br />Boulevard and Hillcrest, the City is requesting acquisition of an approximate 5 feet by <br />45 feet frontage portion of the District's property at Estella Park and an additional <br />area for temporary construction easements. The City has proposed compensation of <br />$5,500 or $30 per square foot for the acquisition, pursuant to a market appraisal. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Short, and carried 4-0 to authorize the <br />General Manager to enter into public utility easements with the City of <br />Thousand Oaks on Erbes Road at the frontage of Estella Park. <br />C. Award Bid for Borchard Community Park Labyrinth and Amenities <br />Improvements and Appropriate $50,000 from Various Funds to Supplement <br />Existing $90,000 Budget for Total Project Appropriation of $140,000 <br />
