DEFERRED MATTERS <br />None <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Adoption of Resolution Number 110509-A, A Resolution of Intention to <br />Approve an Amendment to the Contract between CalPERS and Conejo <br />Recreation and Park District <br />Lewanda supplied pertinent information relative to the proposed Resolution of <br />Intention. She said that in the adopted Memorandum of Understanding dated July 9, <br />2009, it was agreed to amend the contract with CalPERS to provide retirement <br />benefits with a formula of 2% at 60 for employees hired after June 30, 2009. The <br />amendment will apply to employees entering membership in the miscellaneous <br />classification after the effective date of the amendment. The final resolution will be <br />submitted to the Board at its December 3, 2009 meeting. <br />It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to adopt <br />Resolution Number 110509-A: Intention to Approve an Amendment to the <br />Contract between CalPERS and CRPD and the accompanying certifications: <br />Certification of Governing Body's Action and Certification of Compliance with <br />Government Code Section 20475; that it be read in title only and all further <br />readings be waived. <br />
