He said the cost is $229,236.65, to be purchased through the State of California Department of General Services Contract from Downtown Ford Sales. All vehicles meet the District's specified requirements. Local providers were not able to match the contract. It was moved by Lange, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 4-0 to award purchase of eight vehicles in the total amount of $229,236.65 to Downtown Ford Sales — vehicle descriptions in submitted documentation. B. Engineering Design Services for Rancho Conejo Playfield Parking Lot Project Hare highlighted background and applicable information, and referenced the parking lot conceptual plan. He stated that the current parking lot is heavily utilized and expansion of the existing lot would ease parking concerns. Initial concepts of the expansion include an approximate 60 space lot parallel to Vento Park Road, providing a secondary access/exit and distributing parking closer to the use areas of the playfield. He reviewed the Request for Proposal {RFP} process and said that Saxon was selected based on its qualifications, price, breadth of service and work schedule. The contract calls for design of the parking lot, development of construction documents, permit processing, bidding assistance and construction monitoring. In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Hare said that other projects envisioned for the site include replacement of the controller boxes and irrigation controllers. It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Short, and carried 4-0 to authorize the General Manager to enter into a contract with Saxon Engineering in the amount of $75,000 for the design and construction documents for the parking lot expansion at Rancho Conejo Playfield.
