June 11, 2009 <br />Page 2 <br />expressed concern for the following issues: 1. large breed puppies are intimidating <br />smaller dogs in the small dog section; 2. non -enforcement of dog park rules; and 3. <br />closure of the dog park on the third Thursday of each month. <br />Letty Ortega, Thousand Oaks, expressed safety concerns for small breed dogs and <br />non-compliance of rules. <br />Jocelyne Perrier, Moorpark, expressed safety concerns for small breed dogs and non- <br />compliance of rules. <br />Tammy Renault, Thousand Oaks, expressed safety concerns for small breed dogs and <br />people. <br />Susan Bradley, Kelli Hopper and Elizabeth Ortega submitted written statements, <br />which were read into the record. All indicated the same concerns identified by the <br />speakers. <br />Shotsky spoke of the value of the past Citizens Dog Park Committee. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Short, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of May 28, 2009 Meeting <br />B. Approval of Warrants, Exhibit A <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $740,258.70 <br />Payroll Total $295,712.89 <br />It was moved by Jacobson, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />A. Public Hearing — Fiscal Year 2009-201012010-2011 Budget <br />Holt declared the Public Hearing open. <br />
