ROLL CALL <br />3. <br />Directors Present: Holt, Gibson, Jacobsen, Lange, Short <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Benton, Hare and Lewanda, <br />Accounting Supervisor Robertson, Rangers Supervisor Kinney, and Executive Assistant <br />Ohren <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />COSTAC Trails Education Days Contest <br />COSTAC Trails Education Days Grand Prize Winners <br />Mitchell Klein <br />Lang Ranch Elementary School <br />Anastasia Pyrinis <br />Sycamore Canyon Elementary School <br />Erica Adam <br />Westlake Elementary School <br />Ally Stuart <br />Westlake Hills Elementary School <br />Victoria Roeske <br />Westlake Hills Elementary School <br />Elayne Haggan and Mark Langton, COSTAC Chair, highlighted the 2009 annual <br />Conejo Open Space Trails Advisory Committee essay/letter writing contest. They said <br />that 1,560 students from all 20 elementary schools attended the 2009 Trails Education <br />Days' hikes and workshops. Ninety-three volunteers and agency staff participated, and <br />990 students submitted contest entries. <br />On behalf of the District, Ranger Kinney presented gifts to the attendees. Two of the <br />winners were present and introduced; Mitchell Klein and Anastasia Pyrinis. Pyrinis <br />said she was honored to be recognized. Haggan and Langton thanked the District for its <br />support of COSTAC. <br />Board members commended the winners. <br />4.
