May 14, 2009 <br />Page 3 <br />Brogden stated that if the agreement is terminated, library service would be <br />significantly impacted, and a $70 per person non-resident library fee would <br />result. <br />Holt and Lange stated their support of staff recommendation. <br />Holt said that she and Fried] met with Supervisor Parks to discuss the issue. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to <br />authorize the Board Chair to sign the submitted letter requesting the <br />Ventura County Board of Supervisors continue participation in the <br />agreement with City of Thousand Oaks for library services to <br />unincorporated areas of Conejo Valley. <br />9. Activity Summaries - January, February 2009 — No Comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare presented an update of the work being done by the PSOMAS design <br />team for Lang Ranch Community Park. He stated that the geotechnical <br />study is progressing at a good organized pace. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton referenced documentation and highlighted recreation events and <br />activities. One hundred and twenty hikers are registered for the "Sycamore <br />to the Sea" hike scheduled for May 16. An Open Space Appreciation Hike <br />at Triunfo Park is scheduled for May 16. The Teen Center will host a 7th <br />and 8"' grade spring dance on May 16. The District is a sponsor for the <br />Conejo Valley Day Care Association's 11th annual "Stand for Children Day <br />
