May 14, 2009 <br />Page 2 <br />Lange noted that a title was missing from Item 7.A. of the April 30, 2009 minutes. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Gibson, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />minutes of April 30, 2009 as modified; i.e., Item 7.A. -- the addition of the title <br />"Public Hearing — Fiscal Year 2009-201012010-2011 Budget." <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />A. Public Hearing — Fiscal Year 2009-201012010-2011 Budget <br />Holt declared the Public Hearing open. <br />As no one was in attendance who wished to address the Board, the Public <br />Hearing was continued to the next regular meeting on May 28, 2009. <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Adoption of Resolution No. 051409-A Setting the 2009-2010 <br />Appropriation Subject to Limitation <br />Lewanda stated this is an annual occurrence, and the 2009-2010 <br />appropriation limit is $33,751,124. She recommended adoption of the <br />resolution. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 5-0 to <br />adopt Resolution No. 051409-A, establishing the annual <br />appropriations subject to the limitation set forth in Article XIIIB of the <br />Constitution of the State of California; that it be read in title only and <br />all other readings be waived. <br />B Consider Draft Letter Commenting on Agreement between City of <br />Thousand Oaks and County of Ventura for Library Services to <br />Unincorporated Areas of the Conejo Valley <br />Friedl noted the presence of Steve Brogden, Library Director. Friedl <br />referenced the documentation and reviewed relevant information. He <br />stated that on April 2, 2009, the Ventura County Library Commission <br />recommended to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors that it terminate <br />an agreement for library services to unincorporated residents of the Conejo <br />Valley. The agreement, which is currently in effect, transfers dedicated <br />County property taxes for library services to the City. He noted the benefits <br />of the current agreement to both the City and County. <br />
