It was moved by Lange, seconded by Gibson, and carried 5-0 to approve the minutes of April 30, 2009 as modified; i.e., Item 7.A. -- the addition of the title "Public Hearing — Fiscal Year 2009-201012010-2011 Budget." 7. DEFERRED MATTERS A. Public Hearing — Fiscal Year 2009-201012010-2011 Budget Holt declared the Public Hearing open. As no one was in attendance who wished to address the Board, the Public Hearing was continued to the next regular meeting on May 28, 2009. 8. NEW ITEMS A. Adoption of Resolution No. 051409-A Setting the 2009-2010 Appropriation Subject to Limitation Lewanda stated this is an annual occurrence, and the 2009-2010 appropriation limit is $33,751,124. She recommended adoption of the resolution. It was moved by Lange, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 5-0 to adopt Resolution No. 051409-A, establishing the annual appropriations subject to the limitation set forth in Article XIIIB of the Constitution of the State of California; that it be read in title only and all other readings be waived. B Consider Draft Letter Commenting on Agreement between City of Thousand Oaks and County of Ventura for Library Services to Unincorporated Areas of the Conejo Valley Friedl noted the presence of Steve Brogden, Library Director. Friedl referenced the documentation and reviewed relevant information. He stated that on April 2, 2009, the Ventura County Library Commission recommended to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors that it terminate an agreement for library services to unincorporated residents of the Conejo Valley. The agreement, which is currently in effect, transfers dedicated County property taxes for library services to the City. He noted the benefits of the current agreement to both the City and County.
