CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 14, 2009 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Holt called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M., and Short led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Holt, Gibson, Jacobsen, Lange, Short <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl; Administrators Benton, Hare and Lewanda; <br />Recreation Manager Wiley; Recreation Supervisor Koval and Executive Assistant <br />Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />RSVP Presentation — Cindy Powers, Director <br />Cindy Powers, RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteers Program), Director presented an <br />overview of RSVP, noting its local support, and the collaborations and partnerships <br />which help sustain the program_ She said the program has served the community <br />for 37 years, and 1,200 local volunteers serve in 65 community agencies, including <br />the library, thrift stores, senior programs, and food distribution. She thanked the <br />District for its support. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Short, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of April 30, 2009 Meeting <br />B. Approval of warrants, Exhibit A <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $515,983.87 <br />Payroll Total $292,831.55 <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 5-0 to approve <br />Item 6.13. Approval of Warrants as presented. <br />
