January 7, 2070 <br />Page 4 <br />It was agreed to schedule the Board study session for February 18 at 5 P.M. <br />with a regular Board meeting to follow. <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Budget Performance Report — November 2009 <br />B. Investment Report — October 2009 <br />C. Goebel Senior Center Commission Minutes — October 2009 <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare stated that construction on Borchard Park amenities is expected to begin shortly <br />and favorable comments have been received from area residents. Adoption of the <br />McCrea Ranch environmental document --Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) -- is <br />expected in February. He lauded Aline Reynders and Kathie Harrison for their efforts <br />on the 2010 District calendar. A meeting with the recreation staff will be scheduled to <br />discuss planning options for the vacated Ranger area and other relevant issues at <br />Old Meadows Center and Park. It is expected that the Conejo Community Park <br />amenities project will be completed in approximately two months. A May opening of <br />the new disc golf amenity is expected. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton referenced documentation, and highlighted recreation events and activities. <br />The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley's next ark show in the Galleria is a multi -media <br />collection Symbols and Words. The Therapeutic Unit will begin weekend outing trips <br />January 16. Casting and rehearsals are underway for the Conejo Theatre for <br />Everyone 2010 season production, The Somewhat True Tales of Robinhood to be <br />performed in late February. The Teen Center will host a January 15 excursion to <br />the Staples Center for a Lakers versus the Clippers basketball game. The Winter <br />Dance for 7th and 8th grade teens will be held January 16. An upcoming concert <br />scheduled for Saturday, January 23 will feature the band Never Shout Never. <br />Concluding Benton said that Aaron Council, Skate Park Specialist, created a forum to <br />discuss skateboard issues, which will meet on January 28. <br />
