Additionally, staff met with golf superintend Jeff Hicks at Rustic <br />Canyon Golf Course in Moorpark and conversed with City of Thousand Oaks Fleet <br />Supervisor Larry McKinney regarding their evaluations of John Deere tractors. Staff <br />considers the cost of the equipment to be fair and reasonable. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 4-1 (Gibson voted no) to <br />award purchase of John Deere model 5075M utility tractor to John Deere <br />Company in the amount of $56,966 — funds available in the Equipment Reserve <br />Fund. <br />9. Parks Division Report <br />Hare noted that all District projects are progressing, and several events are being <br />planned for the McCrea Ranch project including a ribbon cutting ceremony, open <br />house, and a fund raising occasion. <br />Relative to the dog park, Hare said that he and Parks Superintendent Kouba met with <br />Jones at the park to look at the condition of the facility. Staff has communicated with <br />the police regarding security issues; a temporary fix for the pot holes in the parking lot <br />has been completed; and the District's development permit application and Planning <br />Commission approval limit the hours of operation to 8:30 PM. <br />Friedl said that he is hoping to facilitate some self -organization among the dog park <br />enthusiasts to help financially make some mutually desirable improvements. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey referenced the recreation documentation. She noted the 2011 Spring <br />Recreation Program Guide will be mailed to all Conejo Valley residents beginning <br />February 8, and registration for District residents begins February 14. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda said that Friedl and she met with Department of Finance officials in <br />Sacramento relative to Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) and <br />Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy (SMMC.) A second audit response is <br />expected and she will keep the Board informed. <br />
