December 6, 2012 <br />Page 5 <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported hydroseeding will begin at Oakbrook Neighborhood just before the <br />winter break, with a 90 -day maintenance period necessary before the ribbon -cutting. <br />An Open House was held on site on December 1st — about 8 adults and 3-4 children <br />attended, as well Director Jones. The building contractor will begin tomorrow <br />morning at Oakbrook Service Yard --- completion is expected in two to three months. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey referenced the geocaching coin she provided to each Board member; it is <br />part of the 50th Anniversary celebration. A check will be presented to CPRD on <br />Thursday, December 13th at 11:00 am at the Janss Marketplace from the "Reign of <br />Terror" Haunted House. Board members are invited and encouraged to attend. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl distributed the "Play Conejo" flyer; the non-profit will be introduced to the <br />community shortly. The flyer will be part of a direct mail distribution to business <br />license holders inside the city of Thousand Oaks. <br />Friedl announced there would be no need for a closed session this evening. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange reported the State Coastal Conservancy had a meeting yesterday in Avila <br />Beach and asked that the MRCA create a public works plan for improving 12 costal <br />accesses in Malibu. <br />Gibson encourages CRPD to take the lead to get the local park districts together for <br />networking and sharing of ideas, especially given the fact that there are some newly - <br />elected members. <br />Jones complimented Hare on the open house recently held at Oakbrook <br />Neighborhood Park. <br />
