Malibu Pacific has done work previously for the
District at Northwood Neighborhood Park (Phase 2). They were also
recently awarded the contract at Canada Park. The project funding was
outlined; AYSO will provide an estimated $853,000 toward the total
estimated cost of just over $1 M. Partial repayment will be made this year in
three installments of $200,000 — payable on April 13t, May 1st and June 1st.
The remaining payment of approximately $250,000 will be repaid to CRPD
in ten equal installments over a ten-year period. Hare emphasized the
uniqueness of this particular venture, with AYSO funding 85% of the project,
which will have multiple uses and will be enjoyed by the community for
decades.
