1. <br />4 <br />3. <br />CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />March 29, 2012 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and Evie Green led the flag salute. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Holt, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: Gibson, Jacobsen <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda and <br />Lindsey, Executive Assistant Reynders <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Logo Contest Award Winners <br />Lindsey introduced Brenda Coleman, Recreation Services Manager, who thanked <br />Kathie Harrison for her help with this project and explained how the contest was <br />run. There were thirty-five submissions — all the finalists are from Westlake High <br />School. A Community Committee picked the top five and those top five were <br />ranked by the Board of Directors. She introduced the runner ups, Gabrielle Breiter, <br />Kevin Chen, Tyler Hom, Dylan Leung, and the winner, Fandi Lin. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />John Dokken, Mario Contini, Mike Murphy & Erie Greene <br />Evie Green, John Dokken, Mario Contini and Mike Murphy, all members of local <br />Rotary Clubs, presented a summary of last Saturday's community service work day <br />project, which included sanding and painting picnic tables at Conejo Creek North. <br />They thanked the District for their cooperation. Board members thanked the <br />Rotarians for all their efforts. <br />
