January 19, 2012 <br />Page 4 <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported the rough grading at Dos Vientos Playfield is going very well. The <br />sports field light poles were ordered yesterday and should arrive in three to four <br />weeks. <br />Regarding Oakbrook Neighborhood Park and Rancho Conejo Playfield, Hare <br />spoke to SureTec's 3rd party consultant and has a meeting tentatively scheduled to <br />discuss next steps toward resolution of park improvement projects. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reported winter programs began this week. Brenda Coleman has been <br />chosen by the NRPA Committee to present a session on teen programming at their <br />annual convention in Anaheim. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No Report. (Lewanda absent) <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported the COSCA Bridge near Santa Rosa Park has been named "Project <br />of the Year' by the American Public Works Association. <br />The City of Thousand Oaks did not receive the TIGER Grant (Rte. 101123 <br />improvements), which had been supported by the District. <br />The next Board meeting will be a Strategic Planning session update — an informal <br />study session that will include planning for CRPD's 50th Anniversary celebration. <br />Friedl stated there will be a need for a closed session this evening. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Gibson reported the California Association of Recreation and Park Districts <br />(CARPD) Board met and finalized plans for the upcoming symposium in <br />Sacramento. He encouraged attendance at what promises to be a very worthwhile <br />event. <br />
